TERM 1- WORD PROCESSINGEx.31: 31Web In the first assignment we had to create a web page using Microsoft Office. In order to complete this assignment, we had to learn how to change a word document into a web page. In addition, we also had to learn how to use the different tools in MS Office such as applying different themes and fonts, title styles and hyperlinks. Throughout this assignment I was learning the basics of how to improve the formatting and look to certain documents and turn it into a web page as well. I did meet all of the requirements for this activity; however for the future I would suggest adding more colors and pictures to make it more attractive and appealing.
Ex.35: 35Workout In this next assignment we had to format a workout plan by drawing a table and then rotating the text and merging the cells. It also required us to learn how to insert a table properly within the text. Though I did create a table that is well structured, I should have added some coloring to make it more attractive. Now having learned numerous amounts of skills in MS Office, I definitely could do a lot more with this assignment.
Ex.36: 36Basket For this activity I had to insert calculations into a data table using Microsoft Word. Since I previously learned how to insert a table, I already had a good background for using the tools. Once I created a table I had to format it as directed. I needed to insert the calculations within the table and then change the sizes, colors, fonts and styles of the table. After completing this activity I learned how to calculate formulas and insert the calculations in Microsoft Word. Again, I met all of the standards, but in order to improve I could add more colors, borders and different styles to the document.

TERM 2- PUBLISHER & INTERNET RESEARCHEx.53: 53VoyagerFor this assignment I had to make a newsletter using Microsoft Publisher. After typing the information in the newsletter, I had to make sure I presented it in a way that appealed to a reader. By doing so I was able to create my own design and insert a picture that related well with the topic of the newsletter. This activity tied in several skills that I learned in previous assignments along with new skills. I learned how to create and design a newsletter, insert a picture from the internet, and organize information appropriately. I believe that I excelled in this activity because I was able to manage numerous skills into one document and ultimately make it attracting to the eye.
Career Research In this assignment we were required to do some research on potential careers that interest us. It was by far the most challenging assignment over the course of the year because it required the most time and work. To start off, we took personality quizzes to discover our interests and what occupations fit into our category. The next step was to choose 8 to 10 careers that best interest us and do some research. After choosing careers from our top 3 personality types I was able to discover information through the many resources given to me. Some of the different resources used included the Occupational Outlook Handbook, O*NET Resource Center, Holland Personality types, etc. While researching, I had to answer 11 questions on each career to be able to compare them later on. The technology I used was the internet to do the researching, Microsoft Word and Excel to display my information. I actually believe I did a very nice job on this activity and even had a word document of over 60 pages worth of information. However, for some reason I am not able to find my document. I am positive I saved the document correctly but accidents happen. That is why to improve I would make sure I save my documents on 3-4 reliable places. This activity reinforced my thoughts on wanting to be a nurse and made me more understanding. I strongly believe that everyone going to further their education should do this project, even if they are not in Microsoft Office.

TERM 3- EXCELTeen Payroll Spreadsheet For this assignment I had to create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet on information given to me. After inserting the data, I had to insert formulas as well. I then needed to calculate the gross and net pay of the hourly workers. I used several technology skills in this activity such as making a spreadsheet in Excel, calculating formulas and formatting the calculations as necessary. After completing this activity, I learned how to calculate the net and gross pay and how to use the information efficiently. Although I think I did a good job with meeting the requirements, there is always room for improvement. For the future, I could have added more shadings and borders.
Formula Functions Spreadsheet In this activity we had to create a spreadsheet that displayed six exam grades for students. After inserting information within the spreadsheet, I had to use the average formula tool in Excel to calculate the lowest and highest grades. I also needed to insert a picture from clipart and format the table. This activity was especially important because it is includes skills that is very useful for the future. To improve, I should have added more colors, borders, styles and make it more appealing. I could have also graphed the material to make it easier while observing the information.
Raises Spreadsheet For this assignment I learned how to successfully use the "IF" formula to
calculate what the employee pay raise would be. The amounts varried throughout the different positions and years of service. The technology skills that I used for this activity was creating a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel, inserting data and using the IF and sum formula, changing colors and creating borders. After completing this activity, I learned how to calculate what a certain amount will be due to certain requirements. I think I displayed the information correctly and followed directions; however I can improve on organization and table formatting by going above and beyond the standard requirements.

TERM 4- CAREER RESEARCH, MULTIMEDIA & DATABASESConclusion to Career ResearchAlthough I lost all of my career research information I chose my top 2 choices and researched the job growth percentage, level of education needed and average salaries for each occupation. Though both careers are similar a nurse practitioner requires more education and in return allows for a much higher salary. In this activity I not only inserted my information in tables in Excel, but I also graphed them in other pages for easier observations to be made. I used the graphing tools in Excel and also learned how to format charts and graphs by changing fonts, colors, rotating text and much more. Though I met the requirements I think I could have improved on the appearances of the charts and graphs.
